(M.Pharm) - Masters of Pharmacy
The two-year, full-time programme prepares students who want to specialize in medication discovery and clinical translation by integrating basic and applied pharmaceutical sciences with practical laboratory research experience. This programme is the natural next step for individuals with a great bachelor’s degree in science who may be looking for work in the pharmaceutical business. The objective of the two-year M. Pharm programme is to produce qualified Pharmaceutical Research Professionals, Technology Analysts, Pre-Clinical & Clinical Scientists, Academicians, Pharma Corporate Executives & Entrepreneurs, and Clinical Pharmacists. Additionally, successful postgraduates will have an edge when applying to doctoral and professional programmes.
We currently offer the following two-year master's degree programmes:
M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics)
The M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) programme prepares students for specialisation in formulation development, manufacturing technology, and process development, all of which are required for the production of standard and new drug delivery systems. The first year includes theoretical and practical sessions on dosage form design, advanced pharmaceutical methods of analysis, drug regulatory affairs, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, dosage form technology, developments in industrial pharmacy, and innovative drug delivery systems. Formulation development, stability studies, and process validation for classic and new drug delivery systems are topics covered in the second-year projects.
M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
In order to identify, categorize, and quantify the synthesized compounds, this curriculum offers an in-depth understanding of process chemistry for synthesis, designing, development, computer-aided drug design, numerous simple and hyphenated analytical instrumental techniques, and other significant factors.

Minimum qualification for admission to M.Pharm (Part-I) programme:
A pass in the following examinations –
- B.Pharm degree examination of an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm). Provided that – a) there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration, as the case may be, from time to time.
- For SC/ST candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm).
- Every student, selected for admission to postgraduate pharmacy course in any of the pharmacy institution in the country should have obtained Registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
M.Pharm:
- 50,000 Per semester + University Exam Fees.
- Hostel charges: Rs. 68,000 Per year
- Uniform Fees: Rs. 5,500 (Boys and Girls)
Affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, and approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi for 15 intakes in both specializations.
