(B.Pharm) - Bachelor of Pharmacy

Our four-year undergraduate programme leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is designed for highly motivated students with a clear concentration on careers in biomedical/pharmaceutical research, biomedicine, and/or the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sectors. The programme covers every stage of the pharmaceutical lifecycle, from research and development to regulation, from translation to patient care and outcomes.

Our industry-aligned curriculum fosters students’ development as excellent practitioners by providing a seamless blend of theoretical and practical learning. The required real-world internship helps students improve their abilities and familiarise them with current industry trends, technological breakthroughs, and obstacles. That’s why our grads are highly sought after by companies including hospitals, patent offices, intellectual property departments, CROs, pharmaceutical wholesalers, and retail pharmacies.

Programme Objectives:

  • To give technical skills as well as the capacity to demonstrate core competency in assessing and addressing problems in diverse pharmaceutical aspects.
  • To raise awareness of the fast evolving pharmaceutical industry profession and emerging scientific and technological fields.
  • To teach people to look for solutions by observing, researching, and trying things out.
  • To educate and develop students in the skills necessary for success in their chosen professions and organizations—self-motivation, teamwork, leadership, and proactivity.
  • To foster a desire for advanced learning, entrepreneurialism, and research.
  • Provide students with industrial and clinical training to gain the skills demanded by industry trends.

Programme Design:

B. Pharma programme is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the human body, diseases, drug molecules (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) along with excipients, natural drug resources, the chemistry involved in API including synthesis of commonly used drugs, the effect of the drug on the human body, toxicity and impurity profile, ADME studies of drugs (behaviour of a drug in the human body), dosage form studies including novel approaches, designing and developing new drug formulations, and clinical trials.

In addition, students learn about the drug distribution system, patient counselling, industrial regulations, and regulatory organisations that play a role in the pharmaceutical industry at the national and worldwide level.

For B. Pharm 1 st Year:

Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

B. Pharm lateral entry (to third semester)

A pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

B.Pharm:

  • 1 st Year: Rs 1,25,600/ + University Exam Fees
  • 2 nd Year: Rs. 98,900/ + University Exam Fees
  • 3 rd Year: Rs. 1,00,600/ + University Exam Fees
  • 4 th Year: Rs. 98,900/ + University Exam Fees
  • *University Pre-enrollment Charges: As per University norms
  • Hostel charges: Rs. 68,000 Per year
  • Uniform Fees: Rs. 5,500 (Boys and Girls)
